Las Vegas, Nevada / CRWE PRESS RELEASE / March 9, 2026 — Across the United States, thousands of talented football players complete their high school careers each year with the ability and work ethic to compete at higher levels, yet many remain overlooked due to limited exposure, fragmented development systems and coming from small schools off the radar from recruiters and scouts. As collegiate recruiting becomes increasingly competitive and data-driven, the need for up and coming junior college football players having access to structured competition, national visibility, and professional guidance has never been greater.

The National Junior College Prep (NJCP) Football League is introducing a new model designed to address this challenge by establishing the first national system for junior college prep football. Founded by former NFL athletes and veteran college coaches, the league provides a professional platform where young athletes can continue to develop their skills while competing for film in a national junior prep conference.
"Many athletes have the ability to play at the next level, but they never receive the platform to demonstrate that ability," said Shawn Jones, Commissioner of NJCP. "Our goal is to create a national system where the development, preparation, and performance of these young players are visible to the coaches and programs that matter."
For many athletes, the challenge is not talent—it is access to opportunity to move up to the next level. Without consistent competition, coaching, guidance, film and national exposure, even highly capable players can struggle to gain the attention of collegiate recruiters.
NJCP is built around several key pillars designed to help athletes reach their full potential:
Structured National Competition:
Teams compete in a full regular season schedule followed by playoffs and a national championship, providing athletes with meaningful game experience and consistent development.
Professional Coaching and Mentorship:
Former professional players and experienced coaches provide technical training, mentorship, and leadership development both on and off the field.
National Media Exposure:
Games are streamed nationwide through NJCP's digital platforms, allowing college recruiters and scouts to evaluate athletes regardless of geographic location.
Development-Focused Environment:
Athletes are supported through structured training, leadership guidance, and opportunities to build the discipline required for success at the collegiate level and beyond.
By combining professional coaching, organized competition, and a national media platform, NJCP aims to create a clear developmental junior college football pathway for athletes who are determined to continue pursuing their football careers.
