Kansas City, Missouri / CRWE PRESS RELEASE / February 26, 2026 — The Kansas City Storm, a flagship member of the National Junior College Prep (NJCP) Football League, is proud to announce the appointment of Cecil Stockdale as Head Coach. A native of Kansas City who has "walked the same streets" as his players, Stockdale joins the Storm to spearhead a program built on community, development, and a "winners-only" culture.

Coach Stockdale's appointment marks a pivotal moment for the Storm as they prepare for the 2026 season. His mission goes beyond the X's and O's; it is about providing a bridge for Kansas City athletes who are looking for their next shot at the collegiate or professional level.
"I am here to give every young man the same chances I have had—the opportunity to win and succeed," said Coach Cecil Stockdale. "I have walked these same streets in Kansas City, and I know the talent and the heart this city has. We are going to teach the direction to success on and off the field. We are winners, and we will never let anybody say we can't make it."
The Storm, as part of the NJCP's 18-state network, offers players a platform that includes an live-game televised season, professional-grade game film, and a direct line to recruiters nationwide. For Coach Stockdale, the goal is to create a cycle of success where players reach their dreams and eventually return to lift the next generation.
"Let's keep hope alive and make this run so each of these athletes can come back and do exactly what I am doing today," Stockdale added. "It's about building a legacy that lasts long after the game's over."
Registration for the Kansas City Storm's upcoming season is now open for high school graduates and transfer portal athletes who are ready to sharpen their iron and dedicate their sportsmanship to JUCO football.
