Fayetteville, North Carolina / CRWE PRESS RELEASE / February 24, 2026 — Jamar Dorival, Head Coach of the Carolina Spots, recently addressed members of the Army National Guard at the Way2Real Community Center in Fayetteville to discuss student-athlete development and recruitment strategies. The meeting focused on the National Junior College Program's (NJCP) collaboration with the military to provide career and educational pathways for JUCO athletes.

The session outlined how National Guard benefits support athletes navigating the junior college system. "We want our guys to come in ready to go—mentally, spiritually, and physically," Dorival stated. "Partnering with the National Guard helps provide a career path for these young men once their time on the field concludes."
While many players pursue professional NFL careers, the partnership emphasizes the necessity of a professional foundation for long-term success. The discussion also detailed NJCP's competitive platform, including an 11-game televised schedule and a recruitment network spanning 18 states.
The Way2Real Community Center, a local pillar providing education and essential services, served as the venue for the outreach. The center aligns with Coach Dorival's efforts to reach elite high school seniors and transfer portal athletes. Through these partnerships, Dorival serves as a liaison for high school seniors and transfer portal athletes seeking recruitment, providing a structured environment to develop JUCO athletic skills alongside a stable professional future.
