S&P MidCap 400 Boosts Floor & Decor; United Airlines Tops Estimates, Outlook Falls Short

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. (NYSE: FND) is set to replace Vicor Corp. (Nasdaq: VICR) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, effective October 20, 2023 prior to the open of trading.
The S&P MidCap 400 index serves as a benchmark for mid-sized companies, designed to gauge the performance of 400 firms within this market segment and showcasing the unique risk and return profiles of this particular market segment.
$FND was trading at $92.17 in after-hours, reflecting an increase of $7.26 (+8.55%).
In other news, United Airlines Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: UAL) exceeded expectations by reporting third-quarter 2023 earnings of $3.65 per share, surpassing the consensus EPS estimate of $3.39. Quarterly sales amounted to $14.48 billion, slightly outperforming the $14.44 billion revenue forecasted by analysts.
However, United Airlines projects its Q4 2023 adjusted EPS to be in the range of approximately $1.50 to $1.80, which is lower than the consensus EPS estimate of $2.06 for the period.
In after-hours, $UAL was trading at $38.26, down $1.86 (-4.64%)
