S&P SmallCap 600 Boosts Goosehead Insurance and Jackson Financial

S&P Dow Jones Indices has announced changes to the S&P SmallCap 600. Goosehead Insurance Inc. (Nasdaq: GSHD) will take the place of NuVasive Inc. (Nasdaq: NUVA), and Jackson Financial Inc. (NYSE: JXN) will replace NexTier Oilfield Solutions Inc. (NYSE: NEX) in the index.
The S&P SmallCap 600 is designed to track the U.S. small-cap market, which is often associated with lower liquidity and potentially reduced financial stability compared to larger counterparts. This index follows 600 small-sized companies that adhere to specific inclusion criteria, ensuring they meet designated liquidity and financial thresholds.
In after-hours, $GSHD was trading at $65.21, up $5.63 (+9.45%), while $JXN was trading at $37.30, reflecting an increase of $2.67 (+7.71%).
