Hibbett Posts Mixed Q2 Results; Hawaiian Electric to Halt Dividend

Hibbett, Inc. (Nasdaq: HIBB), a leading retailer, reported second-quarter fiscal 2024 earnings of $0.85 per share, surpassing the consensus EPS estimate of $0.73. The company's quarterly sales reached $374.90 million, slightly below analysts' projected revenue of $376.11 million.
Hibbett is reaffirming its full-year Fiscal 2024 guidance, anticipating EPS in the range of $7.00 to $7.75 compared to the consensus estimate of $7.18.
$HIBB was trading at $39.01 in pre-market, up $2.15 (+5.83%).
In other news, Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (NYSE: HE), as disclosed in a regulatory filing with the SEC, has suspended its quarterly dividend starting in the third quarter to bolster its cash position. The company also noted that it has already drawn on $370 million in revolving unsecured credit facilities.
