The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL), a renowned global leader in beauty and skincare products, disclosed fourth-quarter fiscal 2023 earnings of $0.07 per share, outperforming the consensus EPS estimate loss of $(0.03). The company's quarterly sales reached $3.61 billion, slightly exceeding analysts' projected revenue of $3.47 billion.
However, as the new fiscal year begins, Estée Lauder anticipates a cautious start with an expected adjusted loss for Q1 fiscal 2024 ranging from ($0.29) to ($0.19) per share, in contrast to the consensus EPS estimate of $0.99 for the period.
$EL was trading at $153.25 in pre-market, down $8.81 (-5.44%).
In other news, XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV), a prominent Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, disclosed a second-quarter 2023 loss of $(0.43) per share, falling short of the consensus estimate loss of $(0.31). The company's quarterly sales reached $698.18 million, slightly above analysts' projected revenue of $694.28 million for the period.
In pre-market, $XPEV was trading at $14.57, down $1.08 (-6.90%).
