Q2 Earnings: Centene Beats, ArcBest Misses Estimates

Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) reported strong second-quarter 2023 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.10 and revenues of $37.61 billion, exceeding the consensus estimate of $2.03 EPS on revenue of $36.47 billion.
In response to the robust performance, the company raised its full-year 2023 adjusted diluted EPS guidance to at least $6.45, up by $0.05 from the previous projection of at least $6.40. Despite the increase, the new guidance is slightly below the analysts' consensus estimate of $6.46.
In pre-market trading, $CNC was trading at $71.01, reflecting a gain of $1.06 (+1.52%).
On the other hand, ArcBest Corporation (Nasdaq: ARCB) reported Q2 2023 EPS of $1.64 and revenues of $1.10 billion, falling short of the consensus estimate of $2.05 EPS on revenue of $1.11 billion for the period.
$ARCB was trading at $115.00 in pre-market, declining by $3.83 (-3.22%).
