Meta Platforms, Inc. (Nasdaq: META) reported robust second quarter 2023 earnings per share (EPS) of $2.98 and revenue of $32 billion, surpassing the consensus estimate of $2.91 EPS on revenue of $31.12 billion. The company projects strong growth for Q3 2023, with total revenue expected to be in the range of $32 billion to $34.5 billion, compared to the consensus estimate of $31.18 billion.
In the after-hours trading, $META surged by $13.43 (+4.50%) to $312.00.
On the other hand, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) posted Q2 2023 adjusted EPS of $12.65, beating the consensus estimate of $12.31.
However, the company's Q2 revenues fell slightly short of expectations at $2.51 billion, compared to analysts' forecast of $2.53 billion in revenue for the period.
$CMG declined by $167.86 (-8.04%) to $1,920.00 in the extended session.
