Earnings Miss: Encore Wire, Ashland, and Waste Management Dip

Encore Wire Corporation (Nasdaq: WIRE) reported second-quarter 2023 EPS of $6.01 and revenue of $636.46 million, missing the consensus EPS estimate of $6.48 on revenue of $738.6 million. 

In after-hours trading, $WIRE declined 6.70% to $150.30.

Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) posted third-quarter fiscal 2023 adjusted EPS of $1.23, slightly below the consensus estimate of $1.27. 

$ASH decreased 1.87% to $90.09 in after-hours trading.

Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE: WM) delivered Q2 2023 adjusted EPS of $1.51 and revenue of $5.12 billion, falling short of the analysts' expectations of $1.54 EPS on revenue of $5.23 billion. 

In after-hours trading, $WM dropped 5.39% to $162.50.
