RTX and Boeing: Major Wins in Defense Contracts

RTX (NYSE: RTX), through its subsidiaries, has been awarded three contracts totaling $5,623,670,040.
The first one, awarded to RTX's Pratt & Whitney, is a modification worth $5,500,316,404 to the F117 Engine Sustainment Support contract, bringing the total value of the contract to $8,241,064,215. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales to multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, and Kuwait.
The second contract, awarded to Pratt & Whitney Military Engine, is a modification valued at $66,084,257. It provides design engineering, program management support, technology maturation, and other services to enhance the F135 engine for the F-35 Lightning II program.
Raytheon Missiles and Defense, another business segment of RTX, has been awarded a $57,269,379 modification to a previously-awarded contract. The contract is for the procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery of German Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Mod 5 Guided Missile Launching Systems and related spare parts for the U.S. and German Navy.
On Friday, RTX closed at $97.96, up $0.16 (+0.16%).
In other news, The Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) has secured a significant contract worth $793,350,000 for aircraft. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, based in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
$BA closed at $211.16, down $0.67 (0.32%) on Friday.
